Color display without battery or cable: Digital View presents screen with 9 meter wireless power sup

The Digital View ESP6-13 is a 13.3-inch E-Ink panel-based screen with a 4:3 ratio and a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200. The device features a modern Spectra 6 panel, which E Ink says is capable of displaying particularly colorful images.

Instead of emitting light, the panel reflects ambient light, which not only means the screen remains clearly visible in direct sunlight, but also significantly reduces power consumption, as the e-ink only consumes energy when the screen content changes. The highlight of the Digital View's new screen isn't the panel, though, but the fact that it's powered by Wi-Charge AirCord.

As long as the Wi-Charge base station is within a maximum distance of nine meters, the display can be supplied with power so that a WiFi or Bluetooth connection can be maintained in order to change the screen content wirelessly without ever having to recharge a battery or run a power cable to the display. Alternatively, the display can also be supplied with power via a USB-C cable, whereby the standby consumption of 7 mW is extremely low.
